"Ringo. Glory and Death" is actually a 2021 Argentine drama series directed by Diego Levy and starring Diego Peretti as the titular character, Oscar "Ringo" Bonavena. The series follows Ringo's life and career as he tries to revive his boxing career in the United States, only to become embroiled in the criminal underworld of Joe Conforte. As Ringo navigates this dangerous world, he also deals with personal struggles, including his relationships with women and his own demons. After a string of bad contacts, Argentina’s greatest heavyweight boxer, Oscar “Ringo” Bonavena, arrives in Nevada in 1976 seeking to restart his career. There, Ringo unknowingly stumbles into the criminal world of Joe Conforte, who promises Ringo a bright future. But a bright future would not come, nor a sought-after rematch against Ali, as the boxer would be found dead in three months' time.
