Hector P. Valenti (Javier Bardem) finds a singing crocodile Lyle (Shawn Mendes) at a pet store. However, an unexpected event caused the two to be separated and Lyle was forced to live temporarily in the attic of an apartment in New York (USA). It is also here that he knows the family of Primm who has just moved in and the boy Josh (Winslow Fegley). From here, a series of funny and funny events happened, when the Primm family panicked because of the appearance of a crocodile in the house. Only young Josh is fearless and befriends Lyle.
