Hostiles is a 2017 Western drama film set in 1892 and directed by Scott Cooper. The film follows Captain Joseph J. Blocker (Christian Bale), a U.S. Army officer who is tasked with escorting an imprisoned Cheyenne war chief, Yellow Hawk (Wes Studi), and his family back to their tribal lands in Montana. As they embark on their journey, they encounter Rosalee Quaid (Rosamund Pike), a grieving widow who has lost her family to a brutal attack by Comanche warriors. The group faces numerous challenges and dangers along the way, including attacks by hostile Native American tribes, harsh weather conditions, and internal conflicts. In 1892, a legendary Army captain reluctantly agrees to escort a Cheyenne chief and his family through dangerous territory.
