The story revolves around the journey of the main character Bud Jablonski (Jamie Foxx). He makes a living by posing as a pool cleaner, but actually to hide his identity as a vampire hunter, killing them to sell fangs. Bud's life turns 180 degrees when Seth (Dave Franco) shows up. He was originally an employee from the Vampire Hunters Association but was clumsy and scared. To achieve his own goals, Seth agreed to be Bud's assistant but ended up not helping but making the task more complicated. A hard-working, blue-collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted 8-year-old daughter. His mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income: hunting and killing vampires.
